Alison Gagen is a Relationship Manager for Theatre at Arts Council England (ACE), based in Birmingham. During her time with ACE, she has worked with many different types and sizes of organisations, including touring companies, children’s theatre companies, festivals and producing theatres of all scales. Her development work has focused upon artist development programmes and platforms for new work, new writing, independent theatre companies and producers. She also works on national activities and projects for ACE. Alison was seconded to Warwick Arts Centre for a year, during which time she programmed the Studio there. Prior to ACE , she managed a small-scale, new writing touring company and led the Education department at Polka theatre, after beginning her theatre career in marketing at the New Vic in North Staffordshire.
